Lord of the Rings to The Young Ones

See here's the odd thing ... I'm looking (again, because I'm a geek) for information about the translation of names in the Spanish version of Tolkien's Lord of the Rings, and I come across the Web site for The British Council: The Art of Translation. This organization is devoted to the art of translation, with interesting info on names, books, screenplays (with a great Almodovar screenplay translation workshop).

After testing my subtitling skills against the original text of "Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown," I start browsing the links and discover a a site called The Barcelona Review, on which is new short fiction by that "Young Ones" madman Alexei Sales. The short story is a dark, odd piece about a man whose girlfriend laughs at people who die on vacation.

And there you have it. Lord of the Rings to The Young Ones in one stream of after work, sipping Scotch consciousness.
